In Birowl The Wrappings, we discovered ghosts. Now in PRODIGIOUS FORTUITY, we are forced into battles of faith as Drew faces scrutiny over recreating a droid in his Grandmother's image. The people of Brier Springs have problems learning to deal with droids. They fear them. And now that one has been created who appears to possess a soul and memories of a woman who has been dead for more than twenty years, the moral implications wreak havoc. Many of them still don't know about Phoebe and Sebastian; the two droids possessed by the spirits they found on Birowl. Jesse and Macha Mae bring further chaos when Jesse invites Macha to come check out the Courtier Collin, a man holding one of the highest titles in the diocese. Macha Mea wanted one good man.
