Djibouti’s flag, which was adopted in 1977, is made up of two equally sized horizontal stripes – light blue (sea) at the top and green (earth) at the bottom. Emanating from the left side is a white (peace) isosceles triangle, the tip of which extends toward the middle of the flag. In the center of the white triangle is a red (unity) five-point star.
